Interesting picture. I noticed that the cross looks like it is made of Iron and dated 1880. I have thought of one day going to a small cemetery in Latvia but am worried the early grave markers were made of wood and would have disappeared. Does anyone know the time period they started switching from wood to rock or Iron?
Or was it a case of their economic place in society at the time?
