This site has been a great resource helping in my search. Thanks to this site I found “Periodika” website. While looking at this site I noticed a maps section. Clicking it on I found out you can zoom into the area you are interested in then click on the “active layers” icon on the right hand side. It brings up a box of different dated maps. Click on the date you want and it will overlay that years map over the area you have chosen. It will come up blank if that year doesn’t exist. For example I’m trying to find a farmstead called Sanderi near Saldus. I zoom into Saldus area , then click on the 1914-1921 map in the active layer box , and it shows what I think is farms in the area. ( the closest I could find to Sanderi is Sander – don’t know if it’s the same)

    Great resource – thanks!!!!!
