Hi, I have been a long time reader of celmina.com and I have been attempting to research my family tree for a while now. I have tried to use Raduraksti but I don't know which parish to look in. My grandfather bought a plot of land in nica after ww1 but I don't know if he was also born in that area. That, combined with the handwritten Russian -which is completely illigible to me- means I can't rule this area in or out as the region where the Cirksis family lived. The earliest record for which I have first names on the Cirksis side of the family is for Mikēlis Čirkšis born in march 1894... Any ideas on how I might proceed? Is my only option now to seek a professional genealogist? |
